One option being considered at the Monday board mtg is to install a 100ft "flag pole" at the Club that would double as a cell tower. One of the pros on this plan is restrooms could be incorporated at the base where the equipment is and we could get rid of the port-o-cans by the baseball field once and for all. I think it should be a Texas flag. What do you think?I think the restrooms can be built without the cell tower. Or vice versa. They are two completely different issues. Does this make any sense? Am I missing something?

I am new to the issue, having just found out about this on Saturday. I agree with the residents who signed the petition. I just wrote an email to the Board, Ex. Director, my neighborhood rep and the Community Relations staff member. I wanted to get a copy of it to the Blog, and to the other folks working to organize this effort, but cannot find any contact information (email addresses or phone numbers).
ReplyDeleteI will be at the board meeting tonight 3/15/10) and will do what I can to help.
We are in Wilkins Crossing and just put a contract on a house in Stone Creek. I can tell you this definitely impacts property values - we are considering walking away from our deposit, and the neighborhood, because of this.
I'll post your letter if you want. Mail it to sparky99762@mypacks.net.
ReplyDeletePaul,
ReplyDeleteI want to thank you for all of your hard work and effort in helping the NT residents to get this tower idea voted down. You have done a great job with your comments and research, and I personally really appreciate it. I hope our
Board heard us loud and clear...that this is OUR neighborhood and we want it to remain beautiful and tower free.
Thanks again!
